VIENNA, AUSTRIA – 21 MARCH, 2015 – The Austrian Parliament Building, a landmark of the Ringstraße serves as the functional heart of Austrian democracy. Originally designed by Theophil Hansen in the Greek Revival style to honor the origins of democracy, the structure is distinguished by its towering Corinthian columns and a grand triangular pediment. At the base of the monumental access ramps stands the Pallas Athene Fountain, featuring a colossal statue of Athena holding Nike, the goddess of victory, surrounded by allegorical figures representing major rivers such as the Danube.
